Visual Art
Within the Visual Arts, the teaching emphasis is on 'The Student', on individuality, team work, the generation of creative ideas and activities, and problem solving. Students are encouraged to take 'Art Risks' without the fear of somehow being wrong, developing their self confidence and the sense of their worth.

Throughout the study of Art, students will experience a wide range of visually expressive media and techniques. Students through their work will be taught to observe, interpret and communicate their ideas through drawing, painting and printmaking and ceramics.

Students will not only be taught to develop differing forms of communication through the variety of media used, but will also learn to express opinions about their work and the work of others, and appreciate art in a context of the time, place and cultural history.
