English
Curriculum
In
English we teach students to improve their skills as readers, writers,
listeners, speakers, viewers and thinkers.
Students
encounter new films, novels and a wide range of other texts, as well as older texts.
They
learn to be critical of messages presented in these texts (for example,
advertisements) and they learn to understand others' opinions and ideas
whilst exploring their own. All students are expected to improve their
levels of accuracy in spelling, grammar and punctuation.
In Work Education we teach students about career pathways, incorporating the Australian Blueprint for Career Development. Preparing students for entering the workplace by developing resumes, letters of application and round table interviews.
